The Gist: A scientist who has created a serum that is supposed to extend human life is in actuality a vampire attempting to create other vampires.
Female Vampire Factor: There are only two and they are only vampires briefly. First the scientist has an assistant named Heidi.
She only reveals herself to be a vampire toward the films end when she's being murdered by the movies protagonists after taking the serum. Then you have the main female protagonist Sandra.
The evil vampire Dr. Frederick Klaus invites her to intern at his lab where he intends to experiment on her. She ends up getting injected with the vampire serum as she is escaping from the lab early on in the movie.
Throughout the film they drink blood from bags to keep themselves level headed but while she doesn't attack anyone her fangs do show twice.Final Opinion: Not a terrible film for a corny early 90's straight to VHS but as far as female vampirism it gets a Vampire Beauty Rating of 1 out of 5. Definitely skippable.
I always thought that scene where the librarian-like heroine is made to display her fangs was pretty sexy actually. I would rate this movie a teeny bit higher just for that
ReplyDeleteI remember renting this with the expectation the movie would be just as satisfying as the cover was promising. That wasn't the case.
