Vampiress Review: "Lillith's Awakening"

The Gist: A girl living in a small town trapped in an unhappy life has visions at night of a female vampire.

Female Vampire Factor: Depending on how you see it is how many vampires are in this film
as the concept is basically the film trying to make you question Lucy's sanity.  Is she becoming a vampire or is she just losing her grip on reality? (basically an artsy version of the Nicolas Cage film Vampires Kiss)
As far as what the viewer sees you have the vampire that she see's in her thoughts and dreams.
This vampire is seen killing the pushy guy Lucy was cheating on her husband with and eventually bites Lucy herself.  From there Lucy begins to act as if she is turning which eventually ends with her attempting to bite a random woman before her husband stops her.  The film ends with her turning her bloodlust to him.

Final Opinion:  This is a fantastic film that I can't say enough good things about.  I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 4 out of 5.  The thing keeping if from a straight 5 is just the fact that the vampirism itself is few and far between in the film.  It's the way the film teases you regarding when it's going to happen that's the true selling point which makes it that much better when it finally happens.  I highly recommend this one.

Vampiress Review: "Queen Dracula"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8193978/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

The Gist:  A Vampiress takes control of a man in order to get her hands on an inheritance left to his daughters.

Female Vampire Factor:  There are four in total.  One who is killed in the first 5 minutes of the film to establish the role of the vampire hunter.
After the beginning vampire scene you're immediately thrown into a "taming of the shrew" knockoff where men are trying to marry one of two daughters in an effort to get money.  One daughter who works at a store wants love while the other dresses and acts like a lesbian in an effort to keep men away and won't let anyone near her little sister.
As far as the vampire portions the father in the film gets a postcard from someone in "Transylvania" and immediately heads there.  Apparently he gets there by car and everyone has a southern US accent so we're just going to pretend this isn't the Transylvania in Europe so I'm just going to assume he went to a small rural town called Transylvania,  Maybe Transylvania University in Kentucky?  There he's met by a group of vampires who want to attack him but they're called off by the Vampire Queen by her basically killing one of them.
From their the vampire Queen "Dee" seduces Jonathon using her sexiest 1960's robot voice (emotion?  who needs emotion?) while doing the old "appearing as whatever the guys fantasies are" routine used in Tales from the Crypt presents Bordello of Blood
After a little arm feeding Jonathon is now under Dee's spell and he brings her back to live with him and the girls.  They don't take well to the new arrangement especially Lucy (the fake lesbian) who attacks Dee and is put in an asylum.  It's then up to Mina (the younger daughter) and a vampire hunter to save her dad from the vampire in his life.

Final Opinion: So the bulk of the movie is really bad green screen work revolving around this absolutely horribly acted story of guys trying to date these girls.  When I say bad green screen work I mean almost every background in this film outside of the first 10 minutes is green screen.

I give this film a Vampire Beauty Rating of 1.5 out of 5.  If this film was not as horrible as it is I'd give it a solid 2 because Dee is attractive and toward the end she even age shifts and younger Dee is also very attractive even if she looks nothing like modern Dee and doesn't have the southern accent that modern and older Dee does.
With that being said I can't emphasize enough how bad this film actually is which is very disappointing as the story that it's supposed to tell would be pretty interesting if done right.  I do recommend watching it if you're into comically bad movies though as it is laughable so it is enjoyable at least for that purpose.

Vampiress Review: "Kiss of the Vampires (2009)"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0758755/

The Gist: The leader of a cult of vampires falls in love with a woman and needs her father to cure him of his immortality so they can be together.

Female Vampire Factor: There are four female vampires in the cult.  They aren't really important to the plot as they are basically just background characters who fang out and hiss in various group biting scenes.

Final Opinion:  Also known as "Immortally Yours" this film has no relation to the 1963 British vampire film of the same name.  The only real issue I have with the film is that it is way longer than it needs to be and the ridiculously corny ending.   Other than that it's a decent indy film.

The movie itself is more a mobster film than any other genre.  While the main story is your stereotypical "vampire falls in love with a mortal woman and is willing to give up his immortality for her" deal, intertwined is a plot where the Illuminati (who come off more as mafia style gangsters than a secret society) after discovering that vampirism is a real thing plot to become vampires themselves by forcing the main vampire Alex into making them immortal.

While there are attractive female vampires in the film they don't get enough screen time to carry the movie as a reason to watch it and are killed off well before the final act of the movie.  I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 3 out of 5.
