Vampiress Series Review: "Season of the Wolf"

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW4WcuEsWMhO46DbiL7Yp7Q

The Gist: A bartender falls for a guy who ends up being a werewolf that is being threatened by a vampire to take out him and all his friends.

Female Vampire Factor: In episode Six titled "A Big Suck Fest" it's revealed that the bartenders main rival to Derek the werewolfs affections has been turned into a vampire herself when she comes to the bar he works at and attacks one of his coworkers
From there she turns one of the bars regular patrons in order to keep him as a pet which the vampire who turned her wasn't too happy about.
He then sends them off to feed which she seems to really enjoy.

Final Opinion: Unfortunately the series stops at episode 6 so there isn't anything past this but it's good that the last episode is over 50% a sexy female vampire fanging out.  The series was decent up to that point and the above episode definitely gets a Vampire Beauty Rating of 5 out of 5.

Vampiress Review: "Vampyres (2015)"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3654680/

The Gist: A group of campers in a remote area encounter a pair of serial killers who bath and drink the blood of their victims.

Female Vampire Factor:  The serial killers in this case are a set of lesbians.
They set their trap by seducing their male victims in with sex and then stabing them when they're vulnerable.
The dark haired of the two is probably bi-sexual as it's apparent that she does enjoy sex with the men prior to killing them.

Final Opinion: Much like the original film it would have been perfect had it been an actual vampire film instead of a film about crazy chicks who drink blood.  In fact it has nearly all the elements of a pretty decent vampire film and even teases you by having Hammer Horror's Caroline Monro in the film but it's still a film about vampires in habit only.
Since it's not a film about supernatural vampires it basically just comes off as super softcore torture porn. I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 1 out of 5. If you liked the original you will like this one but as a true vampire movie this and the original definitely are not.

Vampiress TV Review: "Chica Vampiro"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2929018/

The Gist: The teenage daughter of a couple of vampires who decided not to be like her parents and to live as a human has that decision taken from her when her parents decide to turn her in order to save her after being victim of what would be an otherwise fatal accident. Now she must come to terms with life trying not to eat her friends.

Clarification: The gist makes the show come off a lot darker than it is but this is your basic Nickelodeon style teen show about kids at school getting into goofy social situations so don't expect anything more than comedy kids show drama, even when it comes to scenes dealing with people near death.

In fact this show even aired on the Latin American version of that network as the show was based in Columbia.

Female Vampire Factor:

Daisy O'brian (Greeicy Rendon)
Basic premise of the show is Daisy is a vampire who comes from a family of vampires. She gets turned and now every time she's around the guy she has a crush on Max (who's human) she wants to feed on him.  Not only does she have to go to school with humans but she also has to go to a school that teaches her how to be a vampire.  As the series progresses the vampire school and human school cross paths resulting in various humans being turned.  She aspires to be an actress and much of the show revolves around her acting at school in musicals.

Marilyn Garces (Lorena Garcia)

The other girl who wants Max's attention and Daisy's main competition in love and acting.  She is basically your mean girl type though it is all a front and does eventually become aware that Daisy and her family are vampires though has a problem with trying to prove it to others.   Eventually in the series she is turned by the vampire Mirco.

Lucia (Estefania Escabar)
Daisy's best friend, Lucia is the only person she tells after she becomes a full blown vampire and ends up being the one who keeps her out of trouble in most social situations.  She herself is obsessed with vampires and loves when she find out they're real.  Eventually she falls in love with the vampire Mirco to the point of obsession but he at this point is only into Daisy who he believes is his destiny (which she obviously disagrees with). She is eventually turned and Mirco warms up to her and they end up together but it takes some time.

Zaira Workshokt (Suzana Posada)
A teacher at the vampire school, Zaira also has a thing for the vampire Mirco and really wants his attention but she's been friend zoned by him.  She has the ability to manipulate time which is very convenient for times when people might accidentally find out the truth about what they are.

Julieta Vladimorf (Lala Aguirre)
100 year old vampire trapped in the body of a little girl she is the vampire Mirco's little sister.  She ends up meeting Daisy's little brother Vincente online and they become best friends though their family's don't get along.

Catalina Vladimorf (Norma Nivia)
Mirco and Julieta's mother she is your stereotypical vampire vixen.  Very seductive and manipulative she has a thing for Daisy's father and as such doesn't get along very well with her mother.

Ana Mclairn (Jacqueline Arenal)
Daisy's mom, Always dealing with Catalina trying to steal her husband.   She is the complete opposite of Catalina as she seems to try to fit in more with humans.

Maria Mclairn (Linda Lucia Callejas)
Daisys Grandmother and apparently a former bride of Dracula.  Her and Ana have more of a sisterly bond than that of a mother and daughter.

Professor Elizabeth Pavlova (Maia Landaburu)
Daisy's musical theater teacher. She is bitten and turned by one of Mirco's friends.  She's a bit of a prude and control freak though when she lets her hair down is surprisingly hot.

Isadora Rasmussen (Larissa Barthem)
Daisy's vampire rival/Freinamy, she isn't very good about controling herself around humans and even turns Daisy's boyfriends best friend.

Esmeralda Vladimoff (Chiara Francia)
She is the human step daughter of Catalina and Step sister of Mirca and Julietta.  She initally lives totally in the dark about her vampiric family but that changes when she gets too close to Daisy's younger brother resulting in her step sister Julieta getting very jealous about it biting her and turning her.

Final Opinion:  Can't really go wrong with the concept of this series.  Teenage vampire girl dealing with her hormones as well as bloodlust at the same time with side stories about her vampire family dealing with vampire problems. It is spanish language only but otherwise this is highly recommended viewing.

Vampiress Review: "Gravebit"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4714470/

The Gist: After a vampire slayer saves a doctors daughter from a vampire who was feeding on her at night he along with the girls sister go hunting for the source of the vampires.

Female Vampire Factor: In Episode 3 titled "House Call" the slayer finally catches the night stalking vampire in the act. She is then run off and staked in Episode 4 "The Hunt".

In Episode 6 "Worse Than Worst" a group of amateur hunters corner a vampire and are quickly outmatched by her.

In Episode 7 "Last Chance" The group after killing one vampire is met with a group of vampires to deal with.

In Episode 8 "A Fate Sealed" The vampire queen Carmella presents herself to the vampire hunter Dayton.  Meanwhile her brood goes to attack the rest of the crew.

In Episode 9 "Ghost Town" The vampires lour Abigails sister Laura to them and feeds on her in front of Abigail.

In Episode 10 "Carmella" the crew of vampire slayers track down the vampires layer in order to take them out while Dayton is presented and seduced by the real Carmella.

Final Opinion:  This is a 10 part web series where each episode only runs roughly 5 minutes in length followed by one of the characters giving a blog related to the episode afterword.  The only real complaint I have regarding it is that the last episodes attempt at drama felt real forced as the amateur vampire slayers characters weren't really built up enough for anything happening to them to really draw an emotional response not to mention you're literally told during the earlier episodes they're not good at what they do which pretty much foreshadows "don't get attached".  I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 3 out of 5.  Might have gotten a 4 if Abigail or her sister Laura would have turned.

Vampiress Review: "Ekimmu: The Dead Lust"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2364690/

The Gist: A Couple is haunted by visions after helping a young woman stranded in the middle of nowhere who ends up being a murder victim returned from the dead as a vampire.

Female Vampire Factor: So a couple pick up a girl named Sarah who was reported missing and take her home after finding her bloody on the side of the rood.  They take her home where as soon as the female of the couple "Beth" leaves Sarah begins to seduce the guy "Steven".
Eventually Beth catches this they argue (in fact they argue a good majority of the film) Beth leaves.  Eventually Sarah calls to Beth giving very vague hints of a previous life.  Apparently she was a girl named Mary who was murdered by her boyfriend via strangulation.  If you forget don't worry, about 25% of this film is repeated showing of the same strangulation scene. Got to pad that run time.
From here Beth is now missing (having been turned) and Steven is looking for her.
He eventually gets the help of Sarah's father who gives a rather vague and cryptic explanation of what's going on but none of it matters because vampire ghost Beth lours him straight to them and they make short work of Steven and they all live happily ever after.

Final Opinion: This is very much a skippable film.  They had an idea but definitely wasn't clear on how to go about putting it on film resulting in a movie with A.D.D., conflict for the sake of conflict and subplots that are just thrown in just to have something happening that never get addressed or paid off at any point. I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 2 out of 5. Only reason it doesn't get one is due to fangs being in at the least the final segments of the film but otherwise the films is mostly people cussing at each other and the same strangeling scene over and over.

Vampiress Review: "Beautiful Vampire"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9089908/

The Gist:  A vampire who works as a makeup artist has trouble controlling her bloodlust around her landlords son.

Female Vampire Factor:  Ran (Jung Yeon-Joo) is a 500 year old vampire who lives life as a makeup artist.  One day a young man comes to her shop in need of getting makeup done for an audition as he is an inspiring actor.

When Ran gets close to him the scent of his blood reminds her of someone from her past resulting in her losing control.  The first time they meet she almost bites him but her landlord comes in just in time though she believes (as does he) that her intentions were to make a move on him and not drink his blood.
The landlord doesn't like this and her and Ran make a deal that if she stays away from her son she'll get a discount on her rent.
This is easier said than done as he develops feelings for her and won't leave her alone and it becomes harder and harder for her to resist his sent.

Final Opinion: The "well rounded female vampire obsessed with the human that she needs to avoid that leads to weird interactions" romcom is something that is pretty common place in Asian film and TV and this film doesn't add anything new to it.  This is definitely more romance comedy than it is horror which in all honesty this has zero horror elements.  Ran does not show fangs in the film and there is only one bite scene.   I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 1 out of 5
