Vampiress Review: "Evil of Dracula"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071308/

The Gist: A teacher takes a job at an all girls school that has a dark hidden secret that has resulted in girls going missing.

Clarification: The last of the Trilogy of Blood  films this is basically if you combine the Hammer films "Lust for a Vampire" with "The Satanic Rites of Dracula".  Long story short the school is run by a vampire couple and in order for people to not get suspicious the vampires take on the identities of the schools principle and his wife so you're basically rewarded for a promotion here by being murdered and having your identity stolen Joker style.  There's even a pretty graphic scene of the principals vampire wife in this film cutting the face off of one of their young victims and putting it on herself in order to take her identity and seduce the new teacher.
Now that's some pretty hardcore stuff.

Selling Point: At the end of the day it's about vampires that like biting women in the boobs.  The storyline reason being doing that conceals the wound but let's be honest.  It's an excuse to show breasts throughout the film.

Female Vampire Factor: In true Hammer Horror fashion the movie almost immediately has our protagonist get attacked by female vampires.  In this case the principals "late" wife and a recent student that's gone missing.
Throughout the film people sneak down to the cellar where the body of the perceived dead wife of the principals coffin is where she rarely doesn't wake up and attacks her visitor.
As mentioned above she eventually removes the face of one of the school girls after she drains her and takes her identity.
This is the only time a female vamp in the film has fangs.  As seems to be a trend in these films the other girls who are bitten either disappear or kill themselves by throwing themselves off of things.
This was easily my favorite of the three films.  I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 5 out of 5.  The series definitely ended on a strong note.

Vampiress Review: "The Vampire Doll"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066600/

The Gist: A girl and her boyfriend go in search of her brother who has gone missing after going to visit his girlfriend.

Clarification: It's your basic hammer horror inspired people go into a remote location where there's a creepy house that has monsters as residence and then those people have to escape, film.  It's the first of the three films of the japanese "Bloodthirsty Trilogy"

Female Vampire Factor:  The girlfriend in this case has been turned into a vampire.
The thing is she doesn't have fangs and she generally tries to kill throughout the film using standard murderer methods.
Out of the bloodthirsty trilogy films I'd say this is least vampire related but since it's the first of the three it's understandable and the films get more traditional with the vampires as they go.  I give this one a Vampire Beauty Rating of 2 out of 5.  If you're just interested in this series of films for the female vampire factor skip this one and just watch the other two.  Otherwise as far as straight forward old school horror goes it's pretty good.

Vampiress Review: "Old Blood"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6084816/

The Gist: Older vampires don't take kindly to a group of vampires plan to use artificial means to prolong their life.

Clarification:  This is one of those films that is best described as just a collection of random stuff happening than a real story with a beginning, middle and end.  No real backstory is given to you about anything that's going on to the point that every scene feels like you've just walked in on something during the middle of stuff already going on.  On top of that there are scenes in the film in which absolutely nothing is happening.  It's basically just music with various slides of locations being shown on screen or people walking and they go on for a few minutes.  Obviously some band paid for air time for their song and this was their way of working it in.

On top of the film having no real direction much of it is done in a weird grey tint which I assume is supposed to represent night time.
Finally the vampires in this film are pretty much just people wearing gothic halloween costumes.  Weird thing is the film is self aware regarding how corny it looks as one of the human characters who finds out about the vampires does openly ask about the vampires choice of wardrobe.

Biggest Complaint:  This film might work a bit better as an online series than a full film.  Seems pretty blatant that much of it was time filler.  Funny thing is a few of the storylines would have made for an entertaining film if they would have just picked one and ran with it instead of just throwing stuff in for the sake of just having things happen.  You've got a vampire who has fallen for a human alchemist and his desire to get his fellow vampires to accept her story.  Then there's the young girl adopted by a group of vampires whose only wish is to become one story, you also have a young girl who wants to come out of her shell who ends up finding out about the vampires story and finally the vampire slayer who doesn't know his girlfriend is a vampire story.  All these are introduced and not one of them has an actual payoff as they're basically just one or two scenes just thrown in each just to have a bunch of characters doing something.

Female Vampire Factor: The film is about vampires surviving so everyone is a vampire.   Only two of the female show fangs.  One is the alchemest that has created the serum that the vampires take in order to stay young.  She has a few (very) random bite scenes and turns a young girl who they adopted.
and as mentioned there is a throw away story of a vampire hunter who is dating a vampire.
I give this film a Vampire Beauty Rating of 1 out of 5.  This one is hard to follow and even harder to watch.

Vampiress Review: "Lake of Dracula"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067503/

The Gist: A young woman who was led to believe her childhood run in with a vampire was imaginary learns otherwise when people around her begin dying in what looks like vampire attacks.

Clarification: This film is pretty much a Japanese version of the film The Brides of Dracula.  Similar story, with a very Hammer Horror feel to it. Much like that film Dracula isn't actually in this one either even though his name is in the title. In this case the vampire in the film is said to be a descendant of Dracula.

Selling Point: A pretty good attempt at a Hammer style horror film.

Female Vampire Factor: Exactly like Brides you have two.  Unlike Brides only one fangs out  and they are never on screen at the same time.  One of the vampires early victims turns in the film but offs herself not long after by throwing herself off the rook of the hospital her body was taken too.
The only female we actually see fangs from is the main characters sister Natsuko
This is where the inspiration from Brides is pretty obvious with her turn which almost mirrors Andree Melly's "Gina".
I give the film a Vampire Beauty Rating of 4 out of 5.  Hard to find a vampire film from Japan during this time frame that doesn't go with the Jiangshi (blue hopping vampires) over just your standard fanged walking undead so this is very much appreciated.  The vamps in this film aren't in it very long which is the only thing holding it back.

Vampiress Music Video: Aly & Aj's "Take Me"

Aly&AJ are an American Pop Rock duo consisting of Sister Alysson and Amanda Mickulka in this music video for their 2017 single "Take Me" the sisters are a pair of vampires.
The video is simple but sexy.  The video shows the bodies of what seems to be an entire family they've fed on throughout a house.  This is spliced in with scenes of them singing with and without their fangs.
This is not the first time they've been featured here as the two sisters seem to enjoy wearing fangs in their private life as well and not just for the promotion of this video.
Specifically with the duo going out as sexy vampires for Halloween that is featured in my Celebrity Vampire Costume Galleries from 2011

Vampiress Episode: "Mixed Blood"

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6366692/

The Gist:  A human and his girlfriend panic when his human parents come to visit while they're having Thanksgiving dinner with her vampire family.

Clarification:  So the running joke is Matt's human family is completely oblivious to the fact that the obvious vampires are vampires (they are very open about what they are and their fangs are always visable).  Though they are on a detox program called BAA where they are trying to get away from drinking human blood.  Their meetings are led by a hot female vampire herself.
The least likable character in it is Matt himself who seems to act almost as if this is the first time he's finding out his girlfriend and her family are vampires in some scenes while being fully aware of this fact in others.  Not to mention how illogical his character is throughout the pilot episode as he's both extremely afraid of vampires yet is dating one who he's constantly yelling at.  The character should have been afraid but there would need to be some aspect that sells why he's with her.  Maybe he's being hypnotized or she's just so hot that she uses her sex appeal to get her way. As is he just comes off as a whiny jerk so the whole relationship makes no sense.

Selling Point: most of her family are hot female vampires.

Female Vampire Factor:  As in the selling point it's pretty straight forward, you have Matt's girlfriend Alexia
Her hot blond bartending sister Sarah
and their hot mom.
In the most cliche way possible Matt's mom ends up cutting herself carving the turkey and Alexia's mom goes to town sucking the blood from her finger and completely loses control.
The episode then fasts forward a year and now everyone is a vampire
With the exception of the parts with Matt complaining, this was a great pilot but not sure how this would go on beyond one episode unless the ending was thrown in there after the series wasn't picked up.  I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 5 out of 5.  The human (hopefully toned down a bit) struggling to live in a town of vampires trying not to eat him would have made for an interesting show.
