The Gist: A group of vampires are searching for another group of vampires who they have a beef with from the old west.
Clarification: So first things first is this has 0 to do with the original film which depending on your view of the first film is either really good or really bad. For me it's the latter. Not because it's a bad film as the quality is way up on this one but because the enjoyment factor for me was the lower quality and random weird moments of the first film. Granted you still get your random moments like a girl swinging on a bench as a song plays and that's all you get to watch till the song ends but its not goofy, not well thought out random it's more "if we put this in, it can be artsy while we try to sell the soundtrack" random.
Selling Point: Basically this film went the route of Bloodrayne 2 Deliverance by turning it into a western. The bulk of it is just people talking about wanting to kill each other and reminiscing about the 1800's. There's also a side plot about a vampire inheritance and this time around the plot is straight forward. That doesn't mean it's very interesting but it does have it's moments.
Female Vampire Factor: This time around Jezebeth is played by Ana Santos.
No evil devil worshiping teenagers this time around. The fact that she's a vampire isn't even really a major plot point. In fact she only does anything vampiric twice in the entire film. First in a dream sequence where she bites a little girl who acts as a ghost messenger in the film.
and then when she bites a runaway who shows up at her doorstep and asks to be bitten.
Other than that it's a straight low budget western that just consists of people talking about what they're going to do to each other. I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 2 out of 5. I'd probably suggest From Dust Till Dawn 3: Hangman's Daughter if you're looking for a good vampire western.
