Female vampires once ruled the world. Now they are overlooked for glittering guys with big hair. It's time to point out why the female of the species should be the center of attention.
Star Nine is a fetish model who specializes in fantasy videos. She currently has a website at www.starbondmedia.com which at this point is just a clip store but you can request personalized video's from it. Below are a couple of previews of ones she's done where she's a vampire seducing and feeding on a victim.
The Gist: A vampire from an alternate dimension finds himself in the human world dealing with a vampire hunter as well as his power hungry sister.
Clarification: It's Troma. Basically you're getting a film so indy and low budget that you should expect a check for watching it. The plot is nearly impossible to follow as you get awkward editing and random scenes that don't follow any type of real structure. To call this film stupid is an insult to stupid.
Selling Point: It has anime level fan service. Basically random shots of T&A. The owners of that T&A aren't really worth watching the film though.
Female Vampire Factor: The main vampire of the film has two sisters.
His maid is also a vampire who likes to show her butt (along with her extremely hairy "woman parts") on camera a lot.
This is one of those films that would only be watchable if you're a 15 year old who can't get their hands on real porn to get a cheap thrill. Other than that I would avoid at all costs. I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 2 out of 5.
The Gist: A college theater major falls in love with a photography major she meets on campus. Little does she know her new girlfriend is really part of a vampire brood who wants her as their newest member.
Clarification: Loosely based off the 1996 made for TV film of the same name which starred Tori Spelling as a girl who falls in love with a guy who becomes obsessed over her to the point of becoming a threat, the only real similarity comes from the girl falling in love portion of the story. Well that and the fact that Tori Spelling is also in this one but this time playing the role of the mother.
In this version the main protagonist of the film falls for a female who is also a vampire. The threat in this case comes from her brood. The bulk of the film deals with the main character Leah and her hopes of getting the main role in the schools production of Macbeth while having a relationship with the vampire Pearl all while dealing with the insecurities and over-protection of her mother.
Selling Point: It's a Lifetime movie so it's full of undertones and hidden lessons. Rolling Stone magazine even has a whole article about how "smart" the film is since it includes a lot of hot button issues within it's characters backstories. Also since it is a Lifetime movie expect the men of the film to be rapists but the main selling point of course is lesbianism.
Female Vampire Factor: The films main vampire is Pearl played by Emily Meade.
The film starts with her in bed with a blonde who is presumably her girlfriend. The blonde lets her know she has a secret and reveals her fangs resulting in Pearl freaking out and trying to run. The blonde catches up to her and bites her before Pearl impales her. The blonde just before dying explains to her that she will now be a vampire as well and that's when our main storyline kicks off with Pearls new vampire life.
Once Pearl is turned she is confronted by a group of vampire women and fed her first victim. From there it is eventually found out that she is being made by the group to add a new member (presumable to make up for being responsible for the death of the blonde ala True Blood) with Leah being their choice.
Pearl ends up legitimately falling for Leah preventing her from going through with the turn and putting her on the bad side of the the women of the brood. After the films ending fight scene Leah (Leila George) ends up asking Pearl to turn her so that they can be together forever. Pearl obliges.
This film takes a lot from other films and not really in a subtle fashion. If you've seen films like The Craft, Embrace of the Vampire, the Sisterhood and a few others you will almost feel as if you're re watching those films with certain scenes. I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 3 out of 5. Not quite Vampire Lovers but definitely watchable.
The Gist: A shy guy hits on a woman at a bar who shows interest in him but that interest is for more than his looks.
Clarification: This is a short vampire film and the gist sums it up pretty well. The woman has 3 sisters who she claims she takes care of who are very ill but by ill means they're vampires. She's also a vampire and the whole thing was a trick to get him back to their place so they could turn him. After he's turned they welcome him into the fold.
Selling Point: lots of lingerie
Female Vampire Factor: All the Vampires in the film are female. The main one is a blonde named Cora (Kabrina Carison).
Then you have her three sisters Caroline (Lisa Murray), Megan (Jamie Oberlee) and Martha (Kelly Forman).
The film itself isn't bad though the music is pretty terrible I give it a vampire beauty rating of 4 out of 5.
Ludella Hahn is an fetish cosplayer/fitness guru out of Boston Massachusetts. Looks wise she's a throwback to the old school style pinup girls with the coke bottle figures but on top of that she has a pretty twisted imagination which leads to some cosplay video's on her website that can best be described as beyond original. Who else would have Velma from Scooby Doo as a werewolf or Hermione from Harry Potter as an Amazon with fangs? Speaking of fangs it seems she loves to wear them as there are quite a few video's with her as a vampires. It is definitely worth taking a look at and of course she takes orders for customs so if you want control of her look check out her site at www.ludellahahnfetish.com.
The Gist: An actor who plays a vampire slayer in films is chosen by a group of misfit real life vampire slayers as their "chosen one" in their effort to kill a powerful vampire.
Clarification: This is a pretty entertaining action comedy. The premise is done as if it's an ongoing reality show where the camera operator is a character who's interacted with (A socially awkward mute character at that).
The best part of the film is that every time it looks like it's going to get serious it gets even more goofy similar to a Leslie Nielsen film. On top of that, what's already a parody of a vampire film has a parody vampire film in it (the protagonists film) which in essence is a cheesy vampire softcore porn which they show clips of throughout.
Selling Point: This is an absolute fun film to watch. Think "The Naked Gun" but with vampire slayers instead of cops.
Female Vampire Factor: There are 4 in the film but since the film is a parody of a vampire film basically it knows what their purpose is. The first one you encounter is in the films opening scenes when slayers are fighting vampires. A random one played by stunt woman Lauren Mary Kim appears to attack the slayers. Their reaction of course is to stare and comment about how hot she is.
The main female vampire in the film is the character Susan (Monique Ganderton). She is the daughter of the main vampire slayer and falls for the chosen one helping him along the way. The main antagonist of the film is in love with her and is the one who turned her.
Then you have the vampire babe from the protagonists movies played by Michelle Lee.
As stated above this film within a film comes off as your "Seduction Cinema" style softcore porn . Basically every scene with her is him giving a cheesy one liner followed by her stating they need to have sex first. It's a reoccurring joke that at least to me never gets old in this film.
Finally during the films finale fight scene one of the misfit vampire slayers who's a divorce` is confronted by a vampire who happens to be his ex wife Elizabeth (Roberta Brown) who was apparently turned by her divorce lawyer.
This film got very high marks on various film rating sites and I 100% agree with them. I highly recommend it. I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 4 out of 5. The only reason it doesn't get a five is that the female vamps pretty much disappear from the film half way through (in fact practically all those scenes are in the trailer) but even without them the film is absolutely fun to watch.
The Gist: A guy starts college to be with his girlfriend just for her to leave him for a gothic woman.
Clarification: So despite the films description talking about "army's of vampires" this is a film about young adult angst. Nerdy young adult angst at that. The bulk of the film deals with a bunch of socially awkward college students who are apart of an anime club being socially awkward to each other. Stan who is the films protagonist is a gamer who is dragged into this club by his bubbly happy girlfriend Lora who is an anime lover. On the way home from their first meeting she's confronted by Terra who is a vampire and they become close friends. The more Lora hangs with Terra the more gothic she gets and the less she wants to be with Stan. The rest of the film is basically Stan dealing with it along with the other gamers of the group who become close allies.
The film after an hour of nerd stuff does remember it's supposed to have a vampire storyline and eventually the members of the club that don't ally with Stan all become one. Logically the film goes to hell at this point because all of a sudden it goes into this deep story about vampire folklore but it's not less nonsensicle than say aliens always attacking high schools kids on the Power Rangers.
Selling Point: One of those films that wouldn't be too bad with a ton of editing. The film has an hour and forty seven minute run time where over half of that does not progress or deal with the plot whatsoever. Also the film does have some funny points as it is somewhat a parody of itself and the character Stan is slightly self aware of how dumb the film is.
Female Vampire Factor: You have two in the film. The main one Terra (Christina Lambert) is barely seen in the film and the scenes she is in have a dark blue filter making it pretty hard to make out what's going on.
There is another goth like girl in the club named Willow (Caitlin Drance) who is a part of the group who gets turned toward the films last 40 minutes.
Finally you have the girlfriend Lora (Rachel Scott) who basically vamps out in a similar manor as Charlie Brewsters girlfriend Amy in the original Fright Night.
So basically a very low budget film that would still be likable if it weren't for the fact that the parts you can see are boring and the parts you can't see due to dark filters are the parts you'd want to see. I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 2 out of 5. Great premise but bad execution.
The Gist: Demons are taking over the Earth in the form of Vampires and Zombies and it's up to a fallen angel and the father of a kid kidnapped for a sacrifice to stop them.
Clarification: Basically this movie isn't really a movie it's a really long trailer for a movie. What I mean by that is that it really doesn't have a well told plot but instead comes off as a bunch of random scenes thrown together and you're supposed to figure the plot out on your own. Toward the films end it starts to follow a linear plot of a guy trying to save his son from the devil but by that point it's almost like the start of a whole new movie. This doesn't ruin the film at all since the film starts like any other film does if you walk in 20 minutes late so it's almost welcome that you finally start to understand something that's going on.
Selling Point: This film is "bad movie" funny. The funniest joke being the ending suggests a sequel.
Female Vampire Factor: There are several barely seen background ones but one main one who gets a ton of screen time is Vanity (Dawn Andrews)
She is a woman who works at a tattoo parlor who along with her boss just randomly get possessed and becomes the lead vampires of the film .
There are also two female bartender vampires who get about a millisecond of screen time.
This is one of those films where the bad acting and horrible sound is forgivable but the terrible editing is hard to overcome. The film should have just consisted of two storylines, the above vampire and her boss doing Satans bidding and the dad who lost his daughters road to becoming gods champion. Unfortunately every character no matter how insignificant gets a backstory leading to the film seeming like a confusing mess. I give the film a Vampire Beauty Rating of 3 out of 5.
Goosebumps was a kids television series which aired from 1995 to 1998 on the Fox network. Based on the kids horror books by author R.L. Stine it basically acted like a kiddie version of Tales from the Crypt having a new original story every episode.
In this episode two siblings played by Zach Lipovsky and Meredith Henderson find a secret passageway in their basement while looking for their birthday present. When they go through the passageway they end up running into a vampire who begins chasing them.
Along the way they run into a girl named Gwendalyn (Krista Dufresne) who assists them with running from the vampire. This was all a trick as it's later revealed the Gwendalyn herself was a vampire.
Eventually the two syblings escape just to find out in a twist ending that the vampire was their grandfather and that they come from a family of vampires.
On top of that, now that they're officially teenagers they too are now vampires.
The Gist: A human must work together with a vampire and a zombie to save their town from aliens.
Clarification: What we basically have here is a parody of multiple film genres combined into one. It's a coming of age teen /survival disaster horror film/comedy. In the universe this film takes place zombies, vampires and humans live together (barely). The film follows three teenage characters. Dag, a kid having trouble finding his place in life who's in love with the popular girl next door who only sees him as a friend. Ned, a nerd who purposely becomes a zombie so he will no longer overthink things and Petra, a girl who was turned into a vampire by an Edward Cullin knock off who used her for her blood.
The Vampires, Zombies and Humans are at each others throats literally in this town but end up coming together when aliens come and take all of them hostage with the three main protagonists being the ones to bring their specific groups together.
Selling Point: Despite such a limited release that it might as well had been a straight to DVD film the cast is pretty stacked with major name stand up comedians such as Keegan Michael-Key, Patton Oswald and Dennis Leary.
Female Vampire Factor: As stated above one of the lead characters is a female vampire named Petra (Mackenzie Davis).
Petra in this film is basically just the female version of the male protagonist Dag. Just like him she's a somewhat socially awkward virgin who has a thing for the stereotypical out of her league popular guy. Main difference is that out of her league popular guy is a vampire who has no problem leading her on just to get what he really wants which is her blood. Unfortunately for her once he gets it he completely ignores her leaving her not only dejected but as a blood thirsty vampire. What makes matters worse for her is that she ends up finding out that the vamp instead decided to sleep with Lorelei aka the girl the male protagonist Dag has a thing for. This sends her into a rage that leads to her tracking down and attacking Lorelei.
This would bring us to Lorelei played by former Disney teen actress Vanessa Hudgens
Basically the school slut/pot head who latches onto whomever the most popular guy is she comes very close to finally giving Dag what he wants when the town goes civil war on itself but that gets ruined as all hell breaks loose up until Petra goes all rage monster on her. It is believed she was dead up until the point that the protagonists get themselves captured to see what happened to the rest of the town. That's when it's revealed that not only did she survive but she was now a vampire.
Her role in the film from there is basically just stand in background and look hot as the protagonists pretty much put their past lives behind them to become hero's and become closer to each other instead of worrying about what they were after prior to the alien attack.
Eventually the film goes with the M Night Shyamalan style twists for the final act but of course a comedic version and much more creative than what the "Scary Movie" franchise did with it.
It's a pretty good comedy but only an OK vampire film. I give it a Vampire Beauty Rating of 4 out of 5. Petra is a very likable character that comes off as a much tamer version of Jessica from True Blood.
