Vampiress Review: "Blood of the Vampires"

The Gist:  A family discovers that their mother who was long thought dead is chained in a secret dungeon under their plantation and has been a vampire the entire time.

Clarification:  Also known as Whisper to the Wind and Curse of the Vampire, this film is weird for all kinds of reasons.  Let's start with the plot.  So dad has mom chained up in a dungeon and mom has been a vampire the whole time.  After finding this out her son even after countless warnings from his father attempt to have a nice loving conversation with her just to get bitten.  From there he spends the film perving out on every female he can get his hands on including his own sister.

All the while Her sisters boyfriend tries to defend her honor and ends up being killed.  He spends the rest of the film a ghost haunting his murderer.

Then we have the film itself which was made in the Philippines but dubbed into English.  The film takes place in colonial US with the main characters apparently meant to be Americans.  The plantation owners have slaves who are painted brown for the film.

Selling Point/Female Vampire Factor: Well the one positive is that every female in the film that does become a vampire (including the main female though she never fangs out before she's cured.  It all starts with the mom.

By far the hottest of the group would be the girlfriend of the vampire plantation owner who is the first to be turned and is used like a henchwoman of sorts basically having to do a lot of the dirty work.

I give the film a Vampire Beauty Rating of 3 out of 5.  It is weird but watchable.

The Vampiress Episode: "American Horror Story"

Season 5

"Hotel"

American Horror Story is a television series which has aired on the FX Network in the US since 2011.  The show acts as a mini series with every season acting as one story with a start and end with every new season acting as a new story with new characters (though usually played by the same actors). 

Season 5 has a slight relation to the first season as it is the first to have a recurring character from another season appear  ( the murder house Realtor Marcy).  The season revolves around a haunted hotel called "The Cortez".  The Hotel is owned by the Countess played by singer and Vampire Enthusiast Lady GaGa.

The Countess is an immortal vampire who lives in the hotel along with her vampire boy toy.  Problem is she gets tired of her men (and women) quickly and seems to turn any attractive young person who steps foot in it which becomes a lot once the hotel is bought by a famous fashion designer.  Unfortunately she is also broke so her plan as of this writing is to marry the fashion designer then have him killed for his money. 

There are several side plots on the series one of which revolves around the countess kidnapping and turning children for her to filter blood through.  The kids drink the blood of dirty people, she then has the children bled and drinks their blood. This will later cause a problem for the countess as one of the children is the kidnapped and believe murdered son of a police detective who's staying at the hotel while trying to solve a murder investigation revolving  a cheating couple who died there (a murder which is separate from the vampirism and each killing being a representative of the 7 deadly sins).

Another Vampire subplot has to do with a 1970's B movie actress named Ramona Royale played by Angela Bassett.  Bassett who also played in Vampire in Brooklyn  plays a former love interest of the Countess who was turned by her in the 1970's.  At the point of this writing she's seeking revenge for the Countess killing her lover.  The countess did it out of spite as she doesn't approve of others creating vampires.  

Despite the Entertainment Weekly article about this season showing small fangs on GaGa the vampires in this series are fang-less with vampirism being explained as just a disease where your immune system is super powered through drinking blood (which is awkward as they are confirmed to be the living dead). The show is more about shock value than anything really horror movie like though there have been a hand full of jump scares from odd demon like creatures showing up in the hotel along with the murder sub-plot.  American Horror Story can be seen every Wednesday on the FX Network.

UPDATE:  On Episode 4 of the season entitled "Devils Night" the countess was confronted by the mother of the above mentioned child and estranged wife of the police officer living in the Hotel "Dr. Alex Lowe" (Chloe Sevigny).  Lowe found her child and took him home just to witness him drink their dogs blood and demanded to know what was wrong with him.  The Countess' response was the truth and informed her the only way she could be with her son again was to become like him.

As the above picture indicated you can see she chose her son over her life and after a bit of lesbian kissing and GaGa boob blood drinking Dr. Lowe is now a vampire.  This brings the shows female vampire count to 4 including the front desk clerk played by Kathy Bates who was turned in the previous episode but not counting the female children who barely exist on the show. 

Vampiress XXX Review: "Hot Chicks Big Fangs 2"

The Gist: A brood of female vampires use the internet to throw a sex party but they want slightly more from their guests than just sex.

Clarification: So basically the same general premise as the first movie though the only carry over from that film is Nikki Benz who is now the leader of the house. The girls of this film are the "new recruits" of the vampire house though that's obviously just used as a way to explain the huge turnover and expansion of the cast which has doubled from the first movie. 

Selling Point: Way more effort put into making this a story based movie (and in the movie in general) than in the first edition.

Female Vampire Factor:  So There is a total of 6 scenes featuring 10 women all ending with a vampire bite.

Scene 1: Jessica Jaymes seduces a religious solicitor.

Scene 2: Dillion Harper and Mia Malkova feed on a shy party goer

Scene 3: Chanel Preston bites and turns a bashful nerd

Scene 4: Janice Griffith seduces a guy in the shower

Scene 5: Nina Elle feeds on a guy in the kitchen

Scene 6: Orgy featuring Anna Bell Peaks, Jillian Janson, Riley Reid and Nikki Benz on two guys

Basically Digital Playground took everything good about the last film and supercharged it for this one while eliminating every one of the very few complaints I had of the first one.  I give this a Vampire Beauty Rating of 5 out of 5. Well worth a view.

Vampiress Preview: "Freaks of Nature"

Freaks of Nature is a Horror Comedy that will open in limited Theaters and video on demand on October 30th.  The premise is three kids in a town in Ohio where Vampires, Zombies and Humans live in harmony try to survive after aliens arrive and pin everyone against each other.  Below is the trailer.

Now comes the best news.  Two of the main vampire characters are female.  The main one being Petra played by Mackenzie Davis.

 In the above right picture Petra is attacking the Character Lorelei played by Vanessa Hudgens.  Well thanks to the promotional pictures it looks like Hudgens character does get turned as seen below.

of course Hudgens with fangs isn't new to this blog considering her Halloween costume a few years ago.  As mentioned the film comes out the day before Halloween and you can pre-order by hitting the link below.

Sexy Vampire costumes for Halloween

It's October and you know what that means.  Sexy costume time.  Of course I'm partial to the sexy vampire costume and the 100% goal of this update is flaunt them off in hoping that come the 31st we'll be seeing a lot more women dawning these instead of the now played out Sexy Cop, Nurse, and French Maid.  If not, at least female vamp fans have a new picture gallery to gawk at.
