Viral Vampiress: Imogen

Imogen (above) is the name of a aspiring model and actress out of the UK who currently has her own YouTube channel which you can view HERE.  Her channel consists of mostly video blog style updates in which she gives her opinion on various things.

The one thing that does stand out about this European lovely is that she is a bit of a Horror/Sci Fi nerd and if there is one thing that men love it's a smoking hot nerd (Since hot nerds do things like THIS and THIS. I mean honestly, she's cooking in sexy sci fi costumes, that's dream girl material).  Anyway, before I lost my train of thought, She has posted three vampire related updates which the pics above are taken from (below).

In this update she dawns a pair of fangs as she reads gothic literature for Halloween.

"My Babysitters a Vampire" actress to compete in reality game show!

Today CTV in Canada has announced the final parings of teams for their version of the reality series "The Amazing Race".  The concept of the show is several parings of two competing in a race around the world with the goal of coming in first but along the way having to complete random tasks.

With the news of the teams comes a familiar face as one half of a team of sisters includes "My Babysitters a Vampire" star and vampire babysitter herself Vanessa Morgan.  21 year old Morgan along with her 30 year old fashion model sister Celina Mziray will be competing on the series which begins airing on Monday July 15th 2013 at 9PM ET, click HERE for their official bio.

As for the fate of MBAV.... the shows producers have been adamant that the show has not been cancelled but is currently on hiatus.  Many believing that it has not been renewed by Canada's "Teletoon" network resulting in them looking for another network to pick it up.

The Vampiress Episodes: "Dracula: The Series"

Dracula the series was a Canadian teen action drama that aired in syndication in 1990.  Reruns of the series eventually made it's American debut as one of the Sci Fi channels (now SyFy) original series upon the networks launch in 1992.

The show followed two young brothers from Philadelphia Pennsylvania, teenager Chris and adolescent Max Townsend. The boys were left by their mother (who was constantly away on business) to live with their uncle Gustav Van Helsing in Luxeumborg.  It just so happens that the town they live in is the headquarters of millionaire business man Alexander Lucard which young Max would accidentally find out is really Count Dracula in the first episode.  The subsequent episodes basically followed the format of Lucard attempting to do something bad and the boys along with young schoolgirl Sofie Metternich (who also lives with Gustav and is played by eventual veteran vamp actress Mia Kirshner), stopping him. 

The show only lasted 21 episodes but is available on DVD (it's no longer in print so consider it a collectors item).

Of course though the reason it's being listed here is that Lucard had a handful of vampire hench people with a female showing up every so often....

 but there were 5 episodes that dealt specifically with female vampires. 

Episode 5: Double Darkness

Young Max falls for an archaeologist named Gloria Cross (Laurie Paton).  Little does he know that not only is she a vampire but is also the significant other of Nosforatu who is not a fan of Lucard and can shape shift to anyone...including Max.

Episode 8: Damsel in Distress

The boys mother Eileen (Lynne Cormack) is in town to do business with Lucard.  When they find out, they storm the castle (as usual as apparently Lucard has a ban on door locks) to try to save her.  When they get there they find out that it's too late and that she has already been turned.


Episode 11: A Little Nightmare Music

Sophie meets and becomes the apprentice of the Contessa Delores de Suarez y Suarez (Gina Wilkinson) who she finds out is doing business with Lucard.  When she goes to tell the Contessa that Lucard is a vampire she is shocked to find out that the Contessa is one herself and has intentions of turning her and overthrowing Lucard. 

Episode 14: "Bad Blood"

In what's best described as a two part episode Dracula is dying from a blood disease he caught from another vampire.  It just so happens (SPOILER ALERT) that in the end we find out the vampire he caught the disease from is Sophie's new boyfriend.  As seen above Chris thought he saved his would be love interest from her new beau but lucky for everyone that wasn't the case. 


Episode 15: "Sophie Queen of the Night" 

 Lucard hires a vampire nanny of sorts to help mentor newly turned Sophie to be a proper vampiress.  Little does he know that the "nanny" has ulterior motives, all the while Uncle Gustav and crew come up with a way to get Sophie back to her old non sexy neck biting self.  (SPOILER ALERT: and sadly succeeds).

Vampiress Review: "We Are the Night"

The Gist: A pick pocketing street girl is targeted by a female vampire who wants her as her newest girlfriend.

Clarification:  A vampire love story that absolutely doesn't suck (no pun intended), We Are the Night can be best described as Twilight done right.  Made in Germany but dubbed in English (so there is a version with no subtitles) this film has the background love story but most important is that it is still meant to be a suspense/horror movie.  The vampires in this film are still monsters who kill people, enjoy it and are to be feared by humans (for the most part).    There is no part in this film that you will mistake for a slow moving soap opera and for that it has HEAVY rewatchability. 

Selling Point: In the world that this film takes place, male vampires don't exist because all the female vampires killed them for being dumb and emotional and there is a rule amongst the remaining vamps to never turn another man again (yes, this conversation does take place in the film, take that Edward Cullen!)

Female Vampire Factor:  As already explained all the vamps in the film are female and the main story background does involve lesbians but there is absolutely 0 smut factor in this film so if you're looking for "Seduction Cinema" style lesbian nudity you're barking up the wrong tree.  Also if you're a fang fetishist that is also very few and far between (though they DO have them) but it doesn't take away from the enjoyment factor of the film.  The main 4 female vamps are...

Nina Hoss (Louise)

Louise is the oldest vampire of the group and the leader.  She leads a very luxurious lifestyle which includes traveling the world looking for new women to become potential partners with.  She has a MAJOR thing for eyes and despite her complete disdain for monogamy is very loyal to the girls she turns. 

Jennifer Ulrich (Charlotte)

Charlotte is the oldest of Louise' underlings.  An actress during the silent film days of the 1920's She struggles with the party lifestyle of Louise as she gets older which often results in her seeming standoffish and unpredictable. 

Ann Fischer (Nora)

Nora is basically your "Alice Cullen".  Very quirky and happy go lucky, is the first to welcome Louise's newest recruit to the group and is always looking to have fun.  Her one downfall is she isn't exactly enthralled to the lifestyle change nor is she fully in control of her blood thirst which plays a factor during the later parts of the film.

Karoline Herfurth (Lena)

Lena is the delinquent who goes around pick pocketing people and getting in all sorts of trouble.  She pretty much wouldn't even be in the movie if it weren't for the fact that the officer who is after her also has a mad crush on her.  She meets Louise when she ends up at a club that Louise owns and attempts to pick pocket her.  Louise then does the bite first and explain what I did to you later routine which pretty much forces Lena to go along with it.  It also helps that Louise bribes her with expensive European sports cars and fancy dresses as well.  Only problem with the whole thing being that Lena isn't much of a lesbian and that she thinks the cop that follows her everywhere is attractive.  That is when we find out that Louise is a ridiculously jealous girlfriend in the unstoppable psycho murdering vampire sort of way.  

So you get a vampire coming of age story that ends up a "run for you life" horror towards the end.  With a high entertainment factor and a low T & A factor I give this film a Vampire Beauty Rating of 4 out of 5. I highly recommend it to anyone who has forgotten that vampires ARE monsters.

Vampiress Review: Dracula 1979

The Gist:  It's the Story of Dracula but told starting from after leaving Transylvania.

Clarification:  Because of the fact that the story starts on Dracula's voyage to England that means there are no brides in this film.  Also Frank Langella's Dracula is more of a playboy which is a complete change from that of Christopher Lee who played the character as more of a super villain.

Selling Point: This would be Dracula if it was done on an old episode of Doctor Who (or if James Bond was a vampire).

Female Vampire Factor: You only have two.  Unfortunately the sex factor of the Hammer Horror or Bram Stokers incarnation of the film is not here which is abundantly clear when we see that poor Mina (Jan Francis) is pretty much decomposed after she has turned (which is pretty bad since she had only been in the ground a few hours by this point.

They kind of make up for it with Lucy who's seductive turn to vampirism is the main story of this version (as opposed to every other version which has Mina being the object of Drac's desires).  Lucy is played by Kate Nelligan

The first time Lucy fangs out in an attempt to bite Jonathon while in the asylum is one of the great moments in movie history as she seduces him just to see her cold black eyes open followed by her fangs.

Sadly this along with them finding her inside Dracula's coffin are the only time you get to enjoy vampire Lucy.

With that being said this was definitely made to be a date movie, and the one thing we all know about date movies is they aren't very guy friendly.  While the movie itself is VERY good; as far as the Female Vampire Factor goes it's a steady 3 out of 5.  Way more hotter versions (and way more accurate versions as well) of the Dracula story available if you're not looking for a high romance and low T & A factor for a vampire film.

Fright Night's new top vampiress describes her role as "sexual".

Jaime Murray who will be playing "Geri Dandrige",  Charlie Brewsters hot blood sucking college professor in the upcoming sequal to 2011's Fright Night remake gave fans a bit of hope that her character is in fact close to what we were given in the 1988 film "Fright Night 2" which starred Julie Carmen as the female lead vamp whose description matches what Murray says of her character pretty well.  Check out the interview from Red Carpet News below.

Viral Vampiress: Joe Palese's "Bite Me"

This is the Pilot for what I believe would have been a romantic comedy style television or internet show.  The episode follows a night in the life of  a young girl named Nikki Draac.  She has a graveyard shift job at a convenient store but hasn't done a good job of showing up on time.  It is eventually explained that Nikki as well as both her parents are vampires just trying to have as normal a life as they can with their affliction.  Her father works at a blood bank and she carries a blood pack with her as her lunch in a Barbie lunchbox.  

This particular day at work was an interesting one for her as she meets a potential love interest in a costumer named Will. Also a couple of goons attempt to rob the place and in doing so spills her blood bag all over the floor which results in her fanging out and making short work of the goons all in front of poor scared Will (But he eventually gets over it as she is still hot after all).

Nikki is played by Model/Actress Chauntal Lewis...

 Lewis in 2009 lost her left hand in a car accident which is highly noticeable in the short to the point that it is obvious they were deliberately showing it.  Personally I don't see the purpose but obviously the plan was to write her lack of a hand into the story somehow had the Pilot got picked up.  Since this was done 2 years ago and it still  hasn't then that will just be another unsolved mystery.
