Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World was a syndicated television series which also aired on the TNT Network in the United States from 1999 to 2002.  The show was about a group of adventurers who while searching for a prehistoric land got stranded and deals with their day to day adventures.  The shows main back story came from the book of the same name.  

In this episode which aired around Halloween in its first season one of the adventurers named Roxton is attacked and bitten by a what seemed like a crazed man.  From there he starts exhibiting odd symptoms which the rest of the crew just attribute to some type of jungle sickness.  Eventually he leaves the group and is drawn to a mansion in the jungle where he meets a woman named Calista who explains that what he's experiencing isn't a sickness but the first stages of becoming a vampire.  From there its up to Roxtons friends to find both a cure and him in order to keep him from completely turning.

Shanyn Asmar (Calista)

Calista was the vampire who took Roxton in.  She was quite lonely in her life and was very happy to find someone else to share her blood sucking life with.   It got to the point that she became very possessive of Roxton.  Vampire or not, anyone can understand how stir crazy you could get living in a Lost World and all.  Unfortunately lost world vampires don't have fangs (you would think they'd have saber teeth or something at least) and are somehow prone to bullets and falling off of buildings even though they can conceivably fly and definitely have super speed.  I guess what I'm saying is that her "end" wasn't thought through that well.
